Happy Birthday Chuck!
This was a fun idea that a friend gave me for a party that she's throwing for her dad's 60th birthday. The theme of the party is a casino night to celebrate one of her dad's favorite pastimes. Here's how the proof turned out...

'Our Wedding Ceremony'
My Maryland roommate's good friend Nikki is getting married tomorrow and I was so excited to do her wedding programs! She has a fall theme with gorgeous cranberry colored bridesmaid dresses. Here's what we came up with... the design is remniscent of her invitations and are printed on an ivory paper with a cranberry satin ribbon added to the top, perfect for a fall palette!

I'm a fan of weddings...
So it's snowing here in Maryland, but I thought I'd post a fun program I did for my sweet cousin and his now wife. The wedding was at a beautiful house just outside of Atlanta on what seemed like the hottest Friday evening possible. The fans were a great idea, perfect for an outdoor wedding! Here's how they turned out...

Boarding Pass
I'm a sucker for a good themed party and had just the idea for a rehearsal dinner to be held at the McCollum Airport just outside Atlanta. I think the groom was nervous when I asked about themes and airplanes but I think these turned out well to set the tone for a runway dinner. The 'flight' turned out to be their initials and the numbers, their wedding date. The seat number... well, that doesn't mean anything. Next on the drawing board... a set of fall wedding programs for a Maryland wedding!

Couples' Shower
So I found another fun invitation from a few months back that I really enjoyed making for a Couples' Shower. Most showers and invitations favor the bride so the hostess wanted to shower the groom in a fun party for couples. Congratulations Katie and Charles! I also have a fun invitation that I designed for this couple's rehearsal dinner that I'll post soon!

Bachelorette Fun!
Here's a fun bachelorette invite I did a few years ago for a laid back, lake weekend. These were a perfect way to set the tone for Allison's weekend full of sun and time with her girlfriends! The cheesey rhymes are just par for the course and mandatory for any good bachelorette party.

Bridal Luncheon
This fun invitation was made for my sweet friend Rebekah's Bridal Luncheon (same wedding as a previous save the date post). Her wedding colors were light blue and chocolate so the invitation was designed to fit. The party was hosted by my special friend Elizabeth's sweet mother who has since passed on to serve Lord. Ms. Sarah will always be remembered as the most organized, perfect party planner and one of the most thoughtful ladies I have ever met. The party has been such a great memory of a wonderful woman.

Merry Christmas!
So it's a little early, I know, but I just love the Christmas season. Here's what I've been working on for a Christmas party in the upcoming months for some great family friends. These turned out great! Also in the envelope, an addressed return envelope and an 'Area Hotels' card on a very pretty vellum. I'm looking forward to getting started on some Christmas cards! Those are always so fun!

Baby-Q
Allyson, my good friend that I had a great time making wedding programs for (previous post), called a few months ago, stumped by how to incorporate a baby shower with a barbeque theme. Well, she stumped me too. Here's what I came up with... these were definitely fun to make and a perfect theme for a fun couple's baby shower!

Save the Date!
Another one of my favorites! Molly had the most perfect engagement pictures taken by Allison Lewis Photography (http://www.allisonlewisphotography.com/). She came to me in need of a save the date that maintained the style of the photos from the shoot. Here's what we came up with... I think they turned out well and fit Molly and Paul's style to a tee! I'm looking forward to the wedding!

Becky and Rich
I promised to show a few 'oldies but goodies' so here they go...
One of my beautiful girlfriends got married a few years ago and I was honored to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. This 'Save the Date' was one of my very first designs and I still love it. Simple, elegant, to the point. Definitely Rebekah's style. Perfect for the fridge for the few weeks before the invitations go out and perfect for setting the stage for the couple's wedding season of showers.

'tis the season!
... for weddings, that is. Congratulations Allyson and Jason on tying the knot this weekend in Atlanta! Sweet Allyson and I went to high school together several years ago. Ally contacted me a few weeks ago in need of wedding programs for her upcoming nuptials. She already had a few ideas for the look she had imagined.
We did a a three page program bound with a simple chocolate ribbon on an ivory heavy cardstock. The cover has a classic monogram to match her invitations. Here's how it turned out!

Welcome!
Hi friends and family!
Many of you know and are familiar with a few of my card and invitation designs but I thought a blog with images would be the perfect way to showcase some of my work for those of you not on the party's 'guest list'.
I design and print all of my own cards and ship from my new home in Maryland where I'm work fulltime at a local architecture firm. I love my job as an architectural designer and spend my day space planning mainly low income housing in the DC metro area. A fun hobby has always included a graphic design 'feel' to my work. Over the past few years I have enjoyed designing baby and wedding shower invitations, wedding programs, save the dates, bachelorettes parties, christmas cards and parties and calling cards as well as every day stationary for friends and family.
Why mudduck paper?
Well Edward, this one's for you. Growing up I spent many weeks of my summer at 'the lake house'. My favorite hobby then... covering myself in mud down by the lake. My grandfather was always the one to hose me off in between flipping steaks just in time for dinner, calling me 'mud duck'. Although my hobbies over the years have changed, I thought, 'what could be a more perfect name?'
I hope you enjoy browsing as much as I have enjoyed designing!
